FME win prestigious PTC IMPACT AWARD
20 Nov 2009

The Fellowship scheme, now jointly funded by the ESRC, encourages and assists experienced managers to enter management teaching with induction and professional development programmes developed with specific Business Schools.

The Director (Mike Jones) pictured centre (and two FME Fellows, Deirdre Anderson from Cranfield School of Management and Peter Graham (Northumbria University) collected the prize at the award ceremony in August 2009 on behalf of all FME Fellows that have benefitted from the Scheme.

Several testimonials and nominations in support of the Award were made, including one from Professor Malcolm McDonald (Cranfield) and Professor Steve Habberman (CASS Business School).

A quote from existing Fellow "The Fellowship provides framework and structure for the University to be able to support academic learning and for me to be able to leverage their expertise in making a transition - for instance in their suggestions for workload and pastoral management as well as line management".

Another FME Fellow, who has recently completed his Fellowship (October 09), was invited to give expert witness testimony in Parliament earlier this year, and that testimony has been cited in the Reports of the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
