At the start of April 2010, Aston Business School appointed its FOURTH ESRC/FME Fellow: Keith Glanfield on a two year Fellowship.
Keith has spent over 20 years, as a practitioner, holding senior commercial and marketing management positions in both the private and the public sectors, developing and building business growth in consumer, sme, corporate, public sector and international markets. In leading commercial and marketing strategy, Keith has led business units, driven market led change to improved commercial results and managed specialist commercial activities, scuh as branding, product management, proposition development and sales management for a number of household names (E.on, Calor Gas, Dept. for Communities and Local Government).
Prior to joining Aston, Keith ran his own consultancy business, specialising in building growth for commercial organisations owned and governed by non-commercial entities.
With an MBA, with distinction from Aston, as a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a part-time Aston Phd student, Keith's research interests concern the effective strategic use and application of branding across all sectors of the economy, and in particular, the effective application of branding inside both public and private sector organisations.
The ESRC/FME Fellowship has provided Keith with an ideal opportunity to embark on a new career, by developing his research and teaching skills in a top UK Business School and Faculty, recognised for its international teaching and research capability.
