FME ANNUAL FELLOWS DAY 'LEVERAGING A BUSINESS CAREER INTO ACADEMIC SUCCESS'

Latest Update: We are delighted to announce that the Rt Hon David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities has kindly accepted our invitation to be our after dinner speaker - we look forward to welcoming him.

The 6th FME Annual Fellows' Day programme is being hosted by Professor Frank Horwitz, Director of the Cranfield School of Management on 1st-2nd September 2010. The impressive Programme has been designed by the three ESRC/FME Fellows at Cranfield; Dr Deirdre Anderson, Mr Jonathan Chapman and the newest Fellow, Mr Neil Turner.

FLYING HIGH FOR STIRLING

The UNIVERSITY OF STIRLING MANAGEMENT SCHOOL are awarded a Two Year ESRC/FME Fellowship.

Quote from Professor Roger Sugden, Dean of School.

"Stirling Management School is delighted to have an FME Fellow in its ranks and with Brian's interest in Leadership and Healthcare Management and his extensive management experience, I hope to see him making a major contribution to the School and wider University.

FME win prestigious PTC IMPACT AWARD

The Academy of Management recently awarded the PTC IMPACT AWARD to the FME for its ESRC/FME Fellowship Scheme

The Impact Award was awarded in recognition of the impact of FME's longstanding efforts to support the connectivity between academics and business practitioners and it singles out the joint ESRC/FME Fellowship initiative as delivering directly impact to management scholarships, by providing the opportunity to business practitioners to embark on a career change in becoming management academics.

Durham Business School

Since Colin Ashurst completed his two year term as an FME Fellow at Durham Business School he has now completed his Phd - congratulations to him.

After working for several large organisations in the private sector, Colin went to Durham with a strong background in Information Systems and with a network of business contacts, Colin was able to use his skills and experience very effectively in the School. [more]
